This Cookie Policy describes how Kaufman & Kaufman uses automated data collection owe and our websites (“Website”), the purposes for which we collect that personal information, and other parties, including partners and suppliers with whom we may share it.

 

How Does Kaufman & Kaufman Use Cookies?

Kaufman & Kaufman and its partner organizations use cookies or similar tracking technologies to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track users’ movements around the Sites, and gather demographic information about our User base. What Information Do We Collect Through Automated Means?

As is true of most sites, we gather certain information automatically. This information may include Internet protocol (I.P.) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, information viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, device type, date/time stamp, and clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer our site.

We collect the following information through automated means:

 

I.P. address
I.P. addresses are numbers automatically assigned to your computer and could be considered personal if associated with other individually identifiable information. We use your I.P. address to operate our Website, help diagnose problems with our servers or systems, and administer and improve our Sites. Your I.P. address is also used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information (for example, your region, city, and postal zip code). We may also use your I.P. address to keep track of the information you have entered, viewed, or utilized using our Website. We reserve the right to block your I.P. address if it originates from certain countries outside the United States.

 

Logs
We may also collect the name of the Internet service that provides you access to the Internet (e.g., Comcast, Verizon, or ATT), browser type, operating system, and other information in your log file. Logs capture the date and time you access our Website, the Internet address of any website you link directly to, which part of our Website you visit, where you go when leaving our Website, and how much time you spend on our Website. In addition, Kaufman & Kaufman may collect email addresses and other personal information from persons who are not current employees or clients of Kaufman & Kaufman. We collect and use this information to operate and manage our Website and analyze, monitor, and improve its performance. We do not link this automatically-collected data to other information we collect about you.

 

Location-based Information

Our time and attendance mobile applications will ask you for permission to obtain your location, which the mobile applications may use to pre-populate forms and schedules. The mobile application will not use your location data if you do not grant permission (or turn off this function). We collect your location-based information to locate your site information for timekeeping if you use one of our time and attendance mobile applications. You may opt out of location-based services anytime by editing the setting at the device level or emailing us at privacy@Kaufman & Kaufman.com. If you are a WSEE, your ability to opt-out will be determined by your employer’s business requirements.

 

Social Media Widgets

Our Website may include social media features, such as the LinkedIn®, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube™ buttons found on our Website. These features may collect your I.P. address and the page you are visiting and set a cookie to enable the feature to function correctly. Social media features and widgets are hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Website. The company’s privacy policy governs your interactions with these social media features.

 

Mobile Applications

When you download and use one of our mobile applications that allow you to access information from a Business Performance Solution or Kaufman & Kaufman Premier, we may automatically collect information on the type of device you use, the operating system version, and the device identifier (or “UDID”).

We may occasionally send you push notifications to update you about any events or promotions we may be running. You may turn these communications off at the device level if you no longer wish to receive them. However, to ensure you receive proper notifications, we must collect certain information about your devices, such as operating systems and user identification.

We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile application software on your device. For example, this software may record information such as how often you use our mobile application. These events occur within the mobile application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within our mobile applications.
